DYAS.EU, a.s.

DYAS has been manufacturing and selling plywood since 1930. Since the beginning we have specialized in the production of beech plywood. Currently, our company employs approximately 200 employees and has an annual turnover of approx. 20 million EURO.

Our products can be found all over Europe, approximately 80% of our production is exported, mostly to Western European countries, not only to Germany and Austria, but also to Italy, Slovenia, Switzerland, Benelux, i.e. to countries where the properties of beech wood and the high quality of the product are appreciated. Even though DYAS is quite a large company, all production is made to order. In addition to standard products, we cooperate in the development of special boards with required usable properties, such as fire resistance (DYAS Pyroplex), sound and vibration insulation (DYAS Absorption), abrasion resistance (DYAS Film) and others.

We are continuously investing in the latest technologies to maintain our position as the market leader in beech plywood, to meet the demanding requirements of our customers, to increase our production capacity and thus expand our customer base. The investments are not only in production processes, but we are also investing in energy self-sufficiency and sustainability. These investments include a new 5.5 MW biomass boiler and a 500 MWh photovoltaic plant.

PYROPLEX

Is beech plywood, which meets the requirements to be classified under B, S1, d0 – Reaction to Fire (Difficult to Ig-nite) in compliance with EN 13501-1: 2003.

It is mainly used in places where a hi-gher level of protection for people is required. For example public transport, public spaces such as theatres, cinemas, etc. It can be used also as a core board for other decorative materials like HPL, Formica, sliced veneers, etc.

BEECH

What is beech plywood?

They are all-beech plywood boards composed of many layers of beech veneers, where the direction of the fib-res is on each adjacent veneer perpen-dicular to each other and are connec-ted with glue.

These are boards with thickness range 4-12mm. Due to its construction the plywood achieves excellent properties such as high strength, toughness, flexibility and dimensional stability. And because of these properties plywood is an important material used in furni-ture and joinery production, toys and musical instruments.

MULTIFINE

Difference between DYASmultifine and DYASmultiplex is in thickness of inner veneers used during producti-on. For DYASmultifine we use inner veneers which are 1,5mm thick, which also affects the properties of the final product. DYASmulifine is offered in thickness range 15-50mm.

As a result of having more thin veneers and higher content of total glue used for a board in comparison with DYAS-multiplex the boards stand out in its strength and resistance.

For these properties and also aesthetic appearance DYASmultifine finds its use especially in furniture making industry, but can also be used in engineering or building industry.
