BOCK: From a small Bavarian family business to a global player Since its founding in 1969, the BOCK Group in Postbauer-Heng, Bavaria, has grown into a global player with over 2,000 employees worldwide. At its locations in Germany, Hungary, China, Canada, and Mexico, the group manufactures both custom and standardized solutions made from various plastics, aluminum, and polyurethane for the office chair and lounge furniture industry. The foundation for the company was laid in 1969 by Martin Bock, with the production of plastic furniture components - the beginning of a remarkable journey of progress and expansion. With rising demand and growing success, the production and storage facilities at the former location quickly reached their limits. Thus, in 1979, BOCK finally found a new location in Postbauer-Heng, just a few kilometers away. In 1986 Hermann Bock took over the company from his father and set the course for the company’s successful continuation in 2020. With his son Christian Bock, the family business is now being carried on into its third generation. Originally specializing in the production of plastic parts, the company today offers a comprehensive range of services. This ranges from development and prototyping, through in-house mold making and the processing of plastic, polyurethane, and aluminum, to assembly, logistics, and quality assurance. From the initial idea to the finished product, BOCK combines decades of expertise with innovative technologies, positioning itself as a comprehensive partner for its customers.
